Canary Wharf is the second largest business district in London (after the city of London). The area is located on the Isle of Dogs in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The famous district is major financial sector not only in the United Kingdom but in the world. Its high-rise skyscrapers cover the East London skyline.
Developed on the site of the former West India Docks in Canary Wharf contains over 15,000,000 square feet (1,500,000 m2) of office and retail space. The most prolific person who helped transform Docklands and put Canary Wharf on the map was Sir George Iacobescu. Most famous commercial towers are One Canada Square, One Churchill Place, 40 Bank Street.
The area does contain many residential developments. Building like Dollar Bay, Ballymore Tower, New Providence Wharf, Pan Peninsula, Millharbour, Arena Tower, Main Tower and many more accommodates thousands of professionals.
